Patient Reviews

“I've been going here for over two years and have always had a great experience. This office is very chic and modern. They must have had their patients in mind when building this location. Every room is equipt with a flat screen TV and headset so that you can watch your favorite show while you get your teeth worked on. This really helps make any procedure pass quickly because the last thing anyone wants to hear is the sound of the drill. Another thing I enjoy is that their chairs have little massagers that will help sooth and calm you through your procedure. The receptionist here is very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain what is and isn't covered by your insurance.I love that they have always been punctual. You'll never sit around and wait past your appointment time.Dr. Aaron Breaux is gentle and will make every procedure as close to painless as possible.” - Sandra L.

Dental Implant Restoration

The loss of a tooth is a challenging experience for anyone. It seems that your self-confidence drains away instantly, making you feel that you have to hide your smile so others don’t notice your missing teeth.

Appearance isn’t the only problem, though. You also lose function because missing teeth make it difficult to eat comfortably and enjoy a wide variety of foods. Worse yet, missing teeth can ultimately lead to further tooth loss and deterioration of surrounding bone.

Replacing Teeth with Dental Implants

At THE Smile Lounge, we’re pleased to offer innovative dental implants, the most permanent solution for missing teeth. A dental implant is a prosthetic that replaces the root portion of your missing tooth. The design of dental implants allows them to bond with your jawbone, making them the most natural tooth replacement solution available.

Dental implants dramatically improve your appearance and help you chew and speak easily. With dental implants, you no longer have to feel self-conscious because you’ll be able to show off your whole and healthy new smile.

The Dental Implant Process

An implant consists of a very small titanium post that is placed in your jawbone by a highly trained specialist. Titanium is a safe, medical grade material that has been used successfully for many years in various joint replacement procedures. Titanium is easily accepted by the body and the implant is designed to bond securely with surrounding bone. The presence of the implant supports your natural teeth and helps prevent deterioration of the jawbone.

In many cases, we’ll restore the dental implant with a beautiful porcelain crown, but implants can also be used to stabilize bridges and dentures. The type of restoration we choose depends on your dental health, preferences, and budget.

Using dental implants, we can:

  • Replace one or more missing teeth
  • Provide support for a dental restoration like a bridge or crown
  • Anchor a full set of dentures or overdentures

The Dental Implant Process

The first step in the dental implant process is a consultation where we’ll spend some time talking to you about your different tooth replacement options. A good candidate for dental implant placement will be in decent general health and have sufficient bone in the jaw to support the implants.

Once we determine that you are a good candidate, Dr. Breaux will consult with a trusted oral surgeon who will implant the titanium roots into your jaw. The implant is allowed time to heal and fuse with the jawbone, after which you’ll visit us again so we can custom craft your replacement teeth and attach them to the artificial roots.

We Work with Your Goals

In some cases, dental insurance will cover the cost of implants. We will work out the details of your specific plan so you know exactly what your out-of-pocket expense will be before we begin treatment.

Making the decision to have dental implants placed is a big step. We will take all the time needed to make sure you understand what’s involved and respond fully to all your questions and concerns.
